After applying for a position, if you’ve been selected for an interview, you should receive an email or telephone call directly from the company’s human resources department. Today, some employers use AI (artificial intelligence)-powered ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) programs to automate the search, analysis and evaluation of candidates. They’re used even in the pre-selection phase through initial online interviews. Designed to streamline HR processes, ATS collect a lot of data and answers about potential candidates in order to create a careful pre-selection of candidates who will eventually go through a conventional interview.
If you are doing an interview by video, make sure to consider any possible time zone differences, particularly if the employer is based abroad or in the Canary Islands, Spain’s only region on a different time zone from the mainland. While many first-round interviews might be held remotely, most employers still require candidates to meet in person, particularly if it’s for a hybrid position.
Although it might vary from sector to sector, it is recommended to take the following materials with you to the job interview:

An official photo ID. Do not forget to take a valid form of ID with your picture on it: your National Identification Card or DNI in Spain, your passport or driving license, for example. It is unlikely that an interviewer or recruiter will ask for it, but it would be very inappropriate not to be able to prove your identity at a professional interview....
