Visa & Work Permit Overview

This section explains the procedures for obtaining visas and work permits, including which countries are exempt from visas. Below is a brief excerpt from this section:

A foreign national planning to enter, travel, study or work in Spain requires a valid passport and, unless exempt from the process, a visa. Your citizenship and the length and purpose of your stay determine visa requirements. Specific foreign nationals are visa-exempt for short stays. (See the Visa Exemptions section for more details.)

You are required to apply for a Foreigner Identity Card (tarjeta de identidad de extranjero or TIE) within 30 days of your arrival, unless an exemption applies. The Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) displays your unique Foreigner Identity Number (NIE) and other identifying information.

This is just a brief sample of the extensive information in the GoinGlobal Spain Career Guide.
