Sections
Personal Information
Include your full name and title, personal address, telephone number (mobile phone is best), email address, and age or date of birth. Optionally, you can add the type of driver’s license held, if any, and civil (marital) status, although this is not as common today.
For residents of Spain, until recently it was very common to include the Spanish ID number just under your full name, either the DNI for nationals or NIE for foreigners. This is becoming less customary today. When applying to a medium or large international company, you can add your nationality.
For jobs in the creative industries or freelance communications jobs, young candidates may include their videoconferencing contact information, professional social media profiles (X (Twitter), Instagram, Vimeo, WhatsApp, etc.), blog or website.
Languages
Include languages and fluency levels (speaking, writing and reading), along with any certificates from reputable institutions and/or language test results. The ability to speak a foreign language, and Spanish in particular, is extremely important to employers in Spain. Most multinational companies also require knowledge of English.
